Kid and the
Nothing-to-Do Year

Spokane's

Bestselling

Children's Book

Inspired by Spokane’s beloved trash-eating sculpture, our flagship book follows Garbage Goat and Kid through the seasons. As Kid explores his home and shares his stories, children are invited to see Spokane in new and meaningful ways.

Garbage Goat &  Kid - Book 1

"Kid & The Nothing-to-Do Year" is our pilot children's book! This story introduces Kid, Garbage Goat's young and adventurous buddy. The goal of these characters, their first story, and the local setting is to help connect all young hearts and curious minds with Spokane's rich and lively community through beautiful seasonal activities and long-standing traditions.
