Born in Seattle and pursued her undergraduate education at Fort Wright College and furthered her studies through graduate work at Sienna Heights College, Parsons School of Design, and University of Washington.

Student turn Professor turn Department Chairwoman. Sister Turnbull awareness and rare clarity in her passions and gifts are showcased throughout her lifetime. She shared all of this through her artwork, but also through teachings, whether home and abroad she shared her passions.
Sister & Sculptor
Nationwide
Sister Paula Mary Turnbull took her vows shortly after turning 18, and found that nurturing her faith also meant nurturing her artistic spirit.
Her artwork is scattered not just throughout Spokane, but nationwide.
Expo '74
Riverfront Park, Spokane
Actively participated in the early planning of Expo '74, specifically in the fair's sculpture program. She helped select works that were installed throughout Riverfront Park, 14 pieces became permanent features, including her Garbage Goat.
